On Veteran’s Day, students at Southern Wells Elementary honored veterans by having a special program. The morning program began with a few words from Mr. Brett Garrett. Jackson Bartlett led students and facility in the Pledge of Allegiance. That was followed by some patriotic readings by 6th grade students, Alexis Collins, Sydnee Jones and Jackson Bartlett. In-Harmony, 5th and 6th grade choir, took the stage to sing the Star-Spangled Banner and America, of Thee I Sing. At the conclusion of the program, a veteran’s video was shown to the assembly. SWES would like to thank all veterans in the area for their service and for those men and women currently serving all over the world.
