Cherry Street, next to Bluffton Regional Medical Center, will be closed this week while the facility's main entrance is made a little more user-friendly. Handicap ramps are being widened and the inclines reduced to make them easier to use.
Crews began work Friday and hope to be finished by the end of this week, if the weather cooperates.
The main entrance to the hospital will remain closed while work is being completed, but the emergency room entrance is open. Cherry Street is open right up to the emergency room entrance, just to the east of the alley which runs north and south through the parking lot.
