‘Tis the season for explosions — but Bluffton officials say any patriotic pyrotechnics lit before 5 p.m. Sunday, June 29, breaks the law.
According to the city’s website, residents can only legally ignite fireworks from 5 p.m. to two hours after sunset June 29 through July 3 and July 5 through July 9. They can fire them from 10 a.m. to midnight Friday, July 4.
Violation of the ordinance is a Class C infraction.
