INDOT Release:
WELLS COUNTY, Ind. - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) Fort Wayne District announces that SR 116 between South 700 West (seven miles east of Bluffton) and US 27 (near Geneva) is restricted for a road resurfacing project.
The restriction is expected to be in place until mid-August, weather permitting, while crews resurface the road.
INDOT advises motorists to take precautions while driving in work zones. In 2009, 700 people were killed nationwide in work zones. Most of the fatalities were not highway workers but drivers. Additional work zone safety information can be found at www.WorkZoneSafety.IN.gov.
