Wells County radio Hams on-air at 4-H Park
Radio hams from Wells County were out in force on Saturday at the 4-H Park, participating in the annual American Radio Relay League’s (ARRL) annual Field Day.
Club members contacted other amateur radio enthusiasts from all over the United States, and some overseas countries, as they tested their emergency communications equipment.
Amateur Radio Operators and the ARRL Field Organization have been effective in establishing emergency communications during floods, hurricanes, fires, earthquakes, and other major disasters.
Anyone wishing to learn more about the Wells County Amateur Radio Club may contact William Weinhardt 824-2986 or Carolyn Osborn 824-0877.
