Mini 4-H at Lancaster

Wells County Purdue Extension Agent Roger Sherer visited Lancaster Central Elementary School on Wednesday to talk about the Mini 4-H program with first- and second graders. Budding talent

Lancaster first grade students had the chance to read their stories to several parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles Monday during the annual Publishing Party. In addition to the readings, those attending enjoyed cookies and juice.
Students in Abby Nagel's first grade class have been working on their stories for the past three weeks. They learned such skills as making a writing plan, first drafts, editing, re-writing and more. The class was divided into three groups where each child read their story. (Photos by Patty Elwell)
