The Bluffton Lions Club has announced that two-year-old Lana Singleton of Bluffton will be the 2013 recipient of the money raised during the Little Sweetheart Contest set for Feb. 4 through Feb. 15.
She was diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome, which included a strand called Diffuse Mesangial Hypercellularity. Translation: her kidneys were filtering too much and she was urinating out needed protein and blood cells.
