Wells County Public Library Release:
The “Get in the Game: Read!” Winter Reading Program at the Wells County Public Library was a great success. More than 140 people participated in the teen and adult program during the month of February and 88 families worked together to build a “snowman” by reading different categories of books and performing fun activities.
Those that completed the program received a free book or the option to donate a book to a local elementary school. As a result more than 33 books were donated to local school libraries. Prizes and books for the program were donated by the Friends of the Library and the Wells County Foundation.
From all those that finished the teen and adult program, grand prize winners were randomly selected to receive prize baskets filled with books, games, treats, and more. Grand prize winners included:
From the Bluffton library:
· Katie Hacker
· Beverly McCartney
· Mikayla Craig
From the Ossian branch library:
· Nanette Bear
· Franklin Hatfield
Library staff winner:
· Cindy Burchell (Children’s Services Department)
The library also offered a Minute to Win It game night that many patrons enjoyed in conjunction with the program.
