Bluffton's eight elected city officials were sworn in for their new terms on Friday, Dec. 30. Afterward, Mayor Ted Ellis encouraged those called to "public service" to remember who came before and govern for those generations yet to come, and Bluffton Common Council member Jim Phillabaum reflected on continuing 40 years of service. Tami Runyon; her Bible is being held by her husband, Pat Runyon.

Jim Phillabaum; his Bible is being held by his wife, Joyce.
