More Ossian Fire Department photos

Mike Mattera, staff pilot of Lutheran’s Air helicopter made a landing at the Ossian Fire Department’s breakfast Saturday amidst sunny skies. Three-year-old Ian Tolson of Ossian jumped up in the pilot’s seat. The helicopter is a loaner as their chopper is in for annual inspection. Parkview’s Samaritan Helicopter also stopped in Ossian for a visit.
Four-year-old Catherine Crawfis said the pancakes the firefighters cooked up were “yummy!”. Catherine is the daughter of Wayne and Marita Crawfis of Ossian.
Jeff Petrie was flipping pancakes off the griddle onto the platter held by Andi Miller, daughter of fireman Jeff Miller.
Annette and Charles Best enjoyed their breakfast. “Pancakes and sausage are highly recommended,” said Annette. “Fifty years ago lightning struck our home and they (Ossian Volunteer Fire Department) were out there taking care of us.”
