Mock Trial at Norwell
Sixth graders at Norwell Middle School now know it’s better to visit the Wells County courthouse and watch a trial than to be the defendant in a trial.
The sixth graders have been learning about their roles in a lawful society from 4-H extension educators, school faculty, staff, and administrators, social workers, law enforcement and juvenile justice officials; and community volunteers from all walks of life and numerous professions who serve as volunteers for Project LEAD (Legal Education to Arrest Delinquency).
Norwell’s Project Lead program is organized by Jan Vogelman, Norwell Middle School guidance counselor, and Roger Shearer, 4-H extension educator.
