The students of Ossian Elementary School are collecting food for local food banks in response to the statewide food drive that Cheri Daniels, wife of Governor Mitch Daniels, is sponsoring, Hoosiers Helping Hoosiers.
Student are encouraged to bring canned food, 100% fruit juices, cereals, peanut butter and jelly and other kid friendly foods- things that kids can easily prepare such as mac and cheese and canned pastas, to school during the week of Feb 16 to Feb 20.
Community members are welcomed to drop off food items in the school cafeteria before 3PM on Friday Feb. 20
