Intersection of Washington and Bennett streets closed

City workers are replacing Bluffton's oldest fire hydrant this morning. Located at the corner of Washington and Bennett streets, this 1886 original started leaking over the weekend. Since no replacement parts are available crews will fully replace the unit today.
I'll have a complete story on the life of the hydrant and its future, later this week.
