SR 1 temporary runaround is open with a 16-foot restriction

From Indiana Department of Transportation:

Indiana 1, over Dowty Ditch in the vicinity of CR 500 north, is closed due to a small structure replacement. Northbound and southbound Ind. 1 will utilize the temporary runaround for 60 days. Vehicle width that will safely fit within the temporary runaround is a 16-foot maximum.
This project is expected to be complete by mid summer, weather permitting. Motorist should drive with caution in this new traffic configuration.
