Just after 11 a.m., Sunday, Bluffton Fire Department responded to a fire at the south corner of Market and Johnson streets in downtown. As of this posting the cause of the fire is unknown. thanks for the pictures/info/video. I wanted to know what was going on but didn't want to go drive downtown and be in the way of the fire fighters!

We were just coming home from church on the north side of Bluffton about 11:00. We saw black smoke pouring skyward when we were at the stoplight at K-Mart/Arbys. We followed the smoke and turned onto Main St. The police were there but the fire dept. hadn't arrived yet. Flames were shooting out of and completely filling both windows upstairs. There had to be some kind of an accelerant to make the fire go from a smoking space heater when it was called in at 11 to be out of control so quickly.
