Wells County high school principals Chad Yencer, Southern Wells, Greg Mohler, Norwell, and Steve Baker, Bluffton and guidance counselors met with Foundation officials to review the criteria and procedures for the 2009 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Program.
The Wells County Community Foundation announced this week that Lilly Endowment Inc. will be continuing the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Program for next year.
This year’s award will include two scholarships for full tuition, fees and up to $800 per year for required books and equipment for four years of undergraduate study on a full-time basis, leading to a baccalaureate degree at any Indiana public or private college or university accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
The 2008 recipients of the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarships were Grant Bucher and Kandice Spera.
