EVAN BLINN EARNS NORWELL ICE STUDENT OF THE WEEK HONOR

Senior Evan Blinn has been selected as Norwell High School’s ICE (Interdisciplinary Cooperative Education) Student of the Week for the week of March 2, 2009.
Evan’s place of employment in conjunction with the ICE Program is OnlyInternet.net in Bluffton where his duties range from customer service, where he troubleshoots Internet problems, to servicing computers. His supervisor is Gabe Selig.
Evan is the son of Deb Blinn of Markle and Mike Blinn of Warren. Following graduation he plans to attend Indiana University to study exercise science and physical therapy.
"Evan has been a very dependable student and employee in the ICE Program this year,” said Norwell ICE Coordinator Ron Harnish.. “He has learned a great deal of new information about the Internet and computers in general. Early in the school year Evan said that he was learning something new every day. Evan is a smart young man with high potential. I believe he will be successful in any career he chooses."
The ICE program allows students to be released early each school day to work at jobs that could develop into future careers. Students learn skills, attain credits, and earn wages. Each student is also involved in a related-learning class, which is taught by Harnish.
